Canadian biotech rigid Abattis Bioceuticals tactics to release a stone plant to manufacture beverages infused with non-narcotic marijuana composites.
The capacity will formulate kombucha tea having marijuana-based cannabidiol, or CBD, a material with supposed anti-inflammatory properties. Abattis executive said Colorado was chosen for the built-up plant as of the market probable for cannabis products after the way of Amendment 64 which legalizes control of marijuana.
"Colorado is a business-oriented state that chains this rising area," said Nick Brusatore, a member of Abattis' board of directors.
Brusatore said the plant, at a yet-undetermined location, firstly will employ about 10 workers and could grow to 30 jobs depending on marketplace order for the infusion.
Abattis' interest in Boulder was reported last week in Medical Marijuana Business Daily. Vancouver-based Abattis lately signed a dispatch of intent with Crudessence Kombucha Inc., maker of Rise sparkling tea, to certify the production of kombucha infused with CBD. Kombucha is a microbial traditions of bacteria and yeast genus.
