On Wednesday, Maryland will turn out to be the 19th state to endorse a medical marijuana program.
Though, it's unidentified as to when the agenda will start.
Governor Martin O'Malley's spokeswoman, Raquel Guillory, established Wednesday that the governor will sign the determine at a bill-signing ceremony Thursday.
The bill, known as House Bill 1101, received final approval from the Maryland General Assembly on April 8.
The medical marijuana bill allows academic medical research centers to establish programs to dispense marijuana to sick patients.
Program applications will be required to specify qualifying medical conditions for treatment; treatment duration and dosage; where marijuana would be obtained; sources of funding; and a plan for monitoring data and outcomes.
