Mother needs medical cannabis for daughter fighting brain cancer
Daliah Barnhart is a two-year-old with a contagious cackle who loves to dance. "I have by no means met a child as adoring or as lovable," says Daliah's mother Moriah Barnhart.
But earlier this year, this Tampa tot was identified with a violent form of brain cancer. After tragedy surgeries to eliminate the cancer and decrease difficulty on the brain, Daliah's mending is just opening with numerous rounds of chemo. She'll be suitable for emission when she turns three.
"A good day for us is a disgusting day for most people," said Barnhart. "Her pain, and her nausea and hearing her cry, there are just no words to describe." That's why last month Daliah's mom in progress researching unconventional, currently illegal alternate treatment-- medical marijuana.
"It's a plant that cures," says Barnhart. "I want doctors to be able to take that plant and use it to promote my daughter." Barnhart admits even she dismissed the idea at first.
"There is probably nothing anyone could have said or done four-and-a-half months ago, to convince me. That's why I made a video [about our experience] because if you question where I'm at now, please seeing where I've been.

Sustain Group Forms For Medical Cannabis

Former Mexican President Vicente Fox took his campaign to decriminalize marijuana to San Francisco on Monday, unification pot advocates to urge the United States and his own country to legalize the sale and recreational use of cannabis.
Fox met for three hours with the advocates, including Steve DeAngelo, the Oakland-based executive director of California's largest marijuana dispensary, and former Microsoft executive Jamen Shively, who hopes to create a Seattle-based pot brand now that Washington State has legalized recreational use.
Legalization, Fox told reporters after the meeting, is the only way to end the violence of Mexican drug cartels, which he blamed on America's war on drugs. Every day, Fox said, 40 young people are killed in drug-related violence.
Fox's position on legalizing drugs has evolved over time since the days when he cooperated with U.S. efforts to tamp down production in Mexico during his 2000-2006 presidential terms. He has been gradually more verbal in his resistance to present policies, assistance two prior efforts to decriminalize marijuana in Mexico.
Mexico's current president, Enrique Pena Nieto, has contrasting substantiation. But he recently said that he would consider world opinion on the matter, predominantly in light of recent voter-approved initiatives to legalize marijuana in Washington state and Colorado for leisure use.

Support for legalizing marijuana in the United States has been growing. Nineteen states and the District of Columbia have passed medical marijuana laws, according to the pro-legalization National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws. But the drug remains illegal under federal law.
Lifting the prohibition on cannabis in Mexico, however, appears to face more of an uphill battle. Mexican lawmakers have rejected previous legalization efforts and polls have shown little popular support for the idea.

One half of the prominent "Cheech and Chong" comedy team says he has trampled prostate cancer, thanks to the use of marijuana.
Earlier this week Tommy Chong posted on CelebStoner that he had "kicked cancer's a**!"
"So the magic plant does cure cancer with the right diet and supplements," wrote Chong.
Chong is glorying his healing with a bit eccentric methods of his Canadian doctor, who treated his cancer with "hash oil" and expectant him to modify his diet. He also said a number of conferences with Adam Dreamhealer, a man whom he illustrated as a "world-renowned healer".
Last June, the 74-year-old comedian was analyzed with cancer after a three-year period in which he said he had been drug free.
Chong said he is 99 percent free of the disease.
"I'm due for one more blood test, MRI, etc., but I feel the best I've felt in years," he wrote in his post.
Chong, who exposed in June 2012, he was using cannabis to treat his cancer, said in an interview with CNN, that legalizing marijuana "means a lot more to me than just being able to smoke a joint without being detained."

Global Marijuana March in Fort Worth
A few hundred marchers serenely completed their way throughout downtown Fort Worth on Saturday sustaining the Global Marijuana March.
Since the Global Marijuana March began in 1999, hundreds of thousands of people have participated in similar marches in over 750 different cities worldwide.
The Fort Worth event was prearranged by DFW NORML, an educational organization committed to legalizing marijuana in Texas.
"Texans deserve legal marijuana just like they now have in Colorado and Washington" said DFW NORML Executive Director Shaun McAlister "and Texas patients deserve medical marijuana just as much as the other 19 states that now offer medicinal marijuana to those in need."
Although many supporters of the cause seek to have marijuana legalized for recreational use - others were there to promote awareness of its use in the medical field in treatment of certain cancer-related diseases counting pain management for age-related, provocative and autoimmune diseases.
"It's no longer tolerable that the Government can say that this is a Schedule-1 drug and that is has no medical value - but owns the rights that says it's a neuro-protectant and anti-toxidant." said C.J. Maestas with the Cash Hyde Foundation.
The march was part of a day-long mini-festival held at Federal Plaza in downtown Fort Worth that featured local musicians, speakers and informational booths all united to discuss, endorse, and instruct both consumers and non-consumers alike.

The bill, known as House Bill 1101, received final approval from the Maryland General Assembly on April 8.

In an interview with CNN Chong said he will be ingesting the cannabis oil because he no longer smokes marijuana. He also added he will be using it at night so he wouldn't be "Woozy" during the day.
During the three years he was of "Drugs", Chong began noticing health problems. "I knew it had nothing to do with cannabis. Cannabis is a cure."
